CT Sinus Sinusitis

Comparison: None available. Technique: Helical CT images were obtained through the paranasal sinuses. Coronal and sagittal reformations and bone algorithm are available. Findings: There is mild right greater than left mucosal thickening of the maxillary sinuses. Multiple air-fluid levels and air bubbles are noted in the right maxillary sinus. The left OMU is patent. The right OMU appears partially occluded. There is mild thickening within the right ethmoid air cells and sphenoid sinus. The frontal sinuses are clear. The orbits, and limited evaluation of the calvarium and intracranial structures are unremarkable. Impression: Acute right maxillary, ethmoid, and sphenoid sinusitis.
