CT Abd Bladder Outlet Obs

Findings: There are two duodenal diverticula, one in the second portion the duodenum and the other just proximal to the ligament of Treitz. (0052-13156195) There is no evidence of free fluid or free air in the peritoneal cavity. The prostate gland is enlarged (5.5 x 4.5 cm in axial plane). There is diffuse mild bladder wall thickening, likely secondary to chronic prostatism. The osseous structures are remarkable for mild degenerative changes of the spine. There are bilateral fat-containing inguinal hernias. IMPRESSION: 1. No evidence of acute abdominal pathology. 2. Enlarged prostate with evidence of chronic bladder outlet obstruction. 3. Additional findings noted above.
