CT Abd Lap band, hernia

Findings: Hyperdense circular structure surrounding the gastroesophageal junction is consistent with well-positioned laparoscopic gastric band connected by intact tubing with injection port seen in the right lower quadrant. A sheet of mesh is positioned at the dorsal aspect of the anterior abdominal wall covering the orifice a small linea alba defect, intraabdominal fat extends through the defect into a small umbilical hernia sac. The liver, pancreas, spleen, adrenals and kidneys demonstrate normal morphology without mass lesions. Enteric contrast extends to the sigmoid colon. There is no evidence of free fluid or free air in the peritoneal cavity. The hollow viscera are without evidence of wall thickening, mass or obstruction. The uterus and ovaries are unremarkable. IMPRESSION: 1. Well-positioned laparoscopic gastric band with intact tubing. 2. Additional findings noted above.
