XRAY Knee Patellar fx

Findings: Multiple views of the left knee were obtained. There is a fracture involving the median ridge of the patellar apex. Multiple loose fragments are seen immediately adjacent to the fracture site. There is no other fracture. Joint effusion is present. Joints are aligned and maintained. There are no bony lesions. Avulsion at the tibial tubercle is again noted with thickening of the distal patellar tendon. The remainder of the knee is normal. IMPRESSION: Probable recent avulsion of the distal patellar tendon. Intra-articular patellar fracture as above. (13148326)
