CT Abd Cellulitis

Comparison: None. Technique: CT scan examination of the pelvis was performed following intravenous administration of non-ionic contrast. Multiplanar reformations were obtained. Findings: There is an ill-defined area of right gluteal and right perirectal fat infiltration abutting the gluteal fold and extending into the right ischiorectal fossa, suggestive of a phlegmon. The left ischiorectal fossa appears preserved. No enhancing fluid collections are seen to suggest an abscess. The osseous structures appear unremarkable for age. The visualized bladder and intestine appear unremarkable. Impression: Right gluteal/right perirectal fat infiltration suggestive of cellulitis, without abscess.
