MRI Pelvis Fibroids

Comparison: MRI pelvis dated []. Technique: Multiplanar T1 and T2-weighted precontrast, and postintravenous injection of []mL Magnevist axial and sagittal T1 fat saturation images of the pelvis were performed. Findings: When compared to the previous MR, the uterus has decreased in size. Currently it measures 22.2 x 18.7 x 11.7 cm. There are multiple uterine masses consistent with fibroids, with variable internal signal intensities. All these lesions demonstrate decreased enhancement relative to the adjacent normal myometrium, several lesions have some heterogenous internal enhancement. The largest fibroid currently measures 7.5 x 7.4 cm. The endometrial stripe is distorted but is normal in thickness, measuring 6 mm. Ovaries are not well demonstrated. There is no cul-de-sac fluid. Skeletal structures are unremarkable. Impression: Large, multifibroid uterus which has decreased in size when compared to the pre embolization MR.
