CT Head Vasogenic Edema, mets

TECHNIQUE: Helical CT of the head from skull base to vertex was performed without contrast, acquiring reformations in the sagittal plane. FINDINGS: There is vasogenic edema involving the entire right cerebral hemisphere with associated mass effect and 5 mm of leftward shift of the septum pellucidum. There is diffuse right sulcal effacement. These findings are not significantly changed from the most recent prior brain MRI. There is no hemorrhage. There is a round dense focus at the midline in the expected location of the ACOM, consistent with prior aneurysm coiling. There is no skull fracture. IMPRESSION: Stable vasogenic edema of the right cerebral hemisphere with stable right to left midline shift, compatible with the patients known metastatic disease.
