Supracondylar extraarticular

Nondisplaced, displaced; Volkmann contracture

Transcondylar intraarticular

Intercondylar intraarticular

Nondisplaced, displaced, rotated, comminuted; malunion - cubitus varus

Radial head fx

Most common adult elbow fx; not-displaced (splint), > 3 mm displaced (ORIF), comminuted (excision); elevated fat pad, radial head view, oblique view or tomogram if in doubt

Olecranon fx

ORIF if displaced

Coronoid fx

With posterior elbow dislocation; radial head or oblique views

Monteggia fx

MUGR, ulnar shaft fx, radial head dislocation

Galeazzi fx

MUGR, distal radial shaft fx, ulnar dislocation (DRUJ)

Essex-Lopresti fx

Radial head fx and DRUJ subluxation with tear of interosseous ligament

Colles fx

Distal radius fx, dorsal angulation, extraarticular, ulnar styloid fx

Smith fx

Distal radius fx, volar angulation

Barton fx

Intraarticular distal radial fx/dislocation, unstable, ORIF

Chauffer's fx

Intraarticular fx of radial styloid aka Hutchinson fx
